Nineteen of the Russian's twenty-one championships have been achieved on hard courts
A revitalized Medvedev secured his maiden championship for 882 days with success over Frenchman Moutet in the tournament championship match.
Medvedev, a ex- number one, has experienced a difficult season, winning just one win at the big events and undergoing a meltdown at the US Open.
Medvedev's unpredictability on the ATP Tour - and issues with his serving in especial - resulted in him falling of the world's top 10 and ultimately splitting with former trainer Cervara.
Now training with Johansson and Rohan Goetzke, the tennis star has steadily progressed in the last few weeks - culminating in a tightly fought competitive win over Frenchman Moutet.
It is the player's maiden title since the 2023 Rome Masters and maiden on a hard surface from March of 2023.
Success also means he has achieved 21 titles at 21 distinct competitions.
"This marks the first occasion I am participating in a tournament with my two daughters together, so to secure a championship is especially meaningful," stated world number 14 Daniil Medvedev.
"This victory is in dedication of my child her name, because the initial championship I achieved when my first daughter her name was delivered was for her."
Medvedev, the former major winner, had failed in his past six finals, including in that event in the past months.
His retrieving approach and recurring reactions on the playing surface had led commentators to wonder if his ability to compete at the elite level was over.
However the player has made changes in recent weeks, attempting to approach the net and perform positively, supported by an improved serving game.
The champion fought back from a break down in the initial set against the difficult Moutet, taking four of the last five points to take the lead.
The competitors swapped breaks in the middle set before the Frenchman, striving for his maiden ATP Tour victory, took control to create a final set.
He rescued four early-game opportunities in a competitive final set before Medvedev secured a break to fifteen to close out the victory.
Suitably, the winner secured victory with a rally at the net area, with the Frenchman unable to manage a volley after two hours and 38 minutes.
